Goods are often stored on pallets – wooden platforms that enable easy movement of the stock. A pallet truck would be the obvious vehicle of choice to move these around with. It has two prongs at the front which slots into the pallet in order to lift it. This piece of equipment has become indispensable in most industries. When the pallet is lifted, the operator can easily move the truck with the goods to wherever it is required. These are also available as powered trucks where the lifting mechanism is operated via a control.

Larger pallet trucks, or forklifts, are also available for the lifting and moving of larger and heavier goods. These are most often found in warehouses and factories. Because of their use indoors, they are more often than not electric trucks, eliminating the emission of harmful exhaust gases in the confined space. You can even opt for a pallet truck that is guided by rails on the floor. This is specifically convenient for storage areas with very narrow aisles.
