Stackers may be a better solution for your business than forklifts

Most factories and warehouses use pallets for the storing and moving of goods. Sooner or later in the process, it will probably be necessary to stack these pallets. The obvious choice would be to use a forklift. They are intended for this purpose. The problem is that not all businesses can afford this expensive piece of equipment, and some are literally too small to house such a large piece of equipment. They also require trained individuals to operate them. A very popular alternative to the forklift is pallet stackers. They are much smaller, can operate in small and narrow areas, they are not as expensive, and do not require certified operators.

There are various types of stackers and it is important to carefully consider your needs before choosing the one that will be right for you. They range from lightweight units that are operated manually to powered machines that can handle much bigger loads.

Lightweight lift stackers are suitable for lifting small pallets with loads of minimal weight. They also work well for loads that do not have to be lifted very high. This is a good choice for smaller warehouses that do not stack goods on high racks, as well as for loading docks that deal with smaller pallets. Manual lift stackers are a good choice when dealing with infrequent lifting and stacking. They require physical work, so will cause too much strain if used continuously.

For heavier loads that need a higher lift, the electric lift stackers are well-suited. They can accomplish more lifting and stacking with better ease than the manual lift, but is still not exactly ideal for warehouses and loading docks that have high volumes of productivity, as the lift is the only part that is electric. Moving them still requires physical labour. For frequent heavier work, fully powered pallet stackers would be better. The lifting and moving of these are completely powered, requiring little physical effort, and thus a perfect choice for areas with other workers around and that has space limitations.
